L&R Construction has grown through experience, opportunity, and the relationships built along the way. What began as Haul Stars Junk Removal has evolved into a licensed general contracting company focused on managing commercial and residential construction projects throughout Orange County.
How We Got Here
Haul Stars began with a much different focus, taking on junk removal and smaller project work throughout Orange County. As the company grew, Tommy and Chris saw an opportunity to build something bigger.
The work gradually shifted toward larger construction projects, site-related scopes, and opportunities to coordinate more complex jobs. That progression ultimately led to L&R Construction, a name and direction that better reflect the company they are building today.
L&R Construction now focuses on general contracting and project management for commercial and residential clients throughout Orange County.
Tommy Livesay
Co-Owner
Tommy is a U.S. veteran who brings a strong focus on relationships, communication, and accountability. He’s committed to growing L&R Construction into a company that clients and partners can depend on, project after project.
Chris Roberts
Co-Owner
Chris has a construction background and hands-on industry experience. He understands how projects come together in the field, from jobsite coordination to the practical details that keep work moving and get it completed the right way.
Built Through Relationships
Some of L&R Construction’s most valuable relationships have been built through the local business and construction community. Tommy and Chris are both active in Building Trades Network (BTN), where they have developed trusted relationships with contractors, business owners, tradespeople, and other professionals throughout Orange County.
Those connections have become an important part of how L&R Construction approaches business, with an emphasis on trust, referrals, collaboration, and long-term relationships.

More Than the Work
Community and relationships extend beyond the jobsite. Tommy and Chris participate in the Annual Bud Kuhl charity baseball game at Angels Stadium, bringing together their love of baseball with an opportunity to support a meaningful cause.
It is one of the traditions that reflects who they are outside of the business and the importance they place on being part of the community they serve.
